MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARD
In addition to the core management team, Isis Biopolymer has assembled an outstanding medical advisory board with complementary background covering advance research, hospital administration, clinical medical trials and new drug development.

James Cesare, MD, F.A.C.P
Dr. Cesare is a Board Certified General Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Cesare was past Vice President of Slocum-Dickson Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician PHO, Utica NY, as well as former Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St.Luke's Memorial Hospital in New York State.

Edward Iannuccilli, MD, F.A.C.P
Dr. Iannuccilli, a retired gastroenterologist, has had extensive experience in academics, management, governance and entrepreneurial endeavors. Former Chairman of the Board at Rhode Island Hospital and a former member of the Lifespan Board, he is a Clinical Professor Emeritus at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Currently, he is the Executive Vice President of University Patient Safety Organization.

As a founding father and former Chairman of the Board of Ocean State Physicians Health Plan (United Health Care), he was the founder of CME Consultants, a national physician and professional education company. Dr. Iannuccilli is a graduate of Providence College and Albany Medical College. He is a published author of medical articles and of stories of his childhood. Dr. Iannuccilli has been on numerous boards and was honored as the distinguished alumnus of Albany Medical College in 1991.

L. Olivia Lanna, MD
Dr. Lanna has given over 200 lectures nationwide since 1997 for GlaxoSmithKline where she is a well recognized national thought leader. Dr Lanna was an honored invited guest at the International Lyme Conference in Germany, in 2006, and served on the Board of Rhode Island's Medical Women's Association. She serves as active Medical Staff for RI Hospital, Miriam and Kent Hospital.

Judith Owens, MD, MPH

Dr. Owens is board certified in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics and Sleep Medicine, and is an internationally-recognized authority on pediatric sleep and is the author of over 100 original research and review articles in peer-review journals, chapters and books on the topic.  Dr. Owens is the Director of the Pediatric Sleep Disorders Clinic at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the Learning, Attention and Behavior Program at Rhode Island Hospital.  Dr. Owens particular research interests are in the neurobehavioral and health consequences of sleep problems in children, pharmacologic treatment of pediatric sleep disorders, sleep health education, and cultural and psychosocial issues impacting on sleep.
