The IsisIQ™, for the first time, will deliver the clinical benefits of iontophoresis with the convenience and cost effectiveness of a drug patch.
The IsisIQ™ is a compact, wireless, active iontophoretic patch using a patented design that implements advances in microprocessors, thin film batteries, biopolymers and proprietary adhesives that allow for widespread use. (Refer to Figure 1.) The device also employs patented drug delivery techniques that will enable multiple drugs, as well as a wide variety of drugs, to be delivered.

The IsisIQ™ is supported by a powerful proprietary software based patient care management system for physicians and pharmacists. This system is at the heart of the Isis solution and allows healthcare professionals to effectively and safely manage and monitor drug delivery through the IsisIQ™.

Proprietary Isis Biopolymer Products
Gentle Touch
The Gentle Touch patch is founded on the same technology as the Isis Patch but with a slightly different focus. Designed specifically for children and elderly, it contains lidocaine that can be dispensed prior to self-injection.
It offers a noninvasive, patient-friendly approach for children and elderly who may require self injection for a variety of chronic conditions. Gentle Touch eliminates the pain and anxiety often associated with needle injections, and offers an alternative.
How Gentle Touch works
Gentle Touch works by placing the patch over the injection site on the skin. The patient simply presses two buttons that dispense Lidocaine from the patch to the injection site. This allows the injection site to become numb, and therefore, the patient will not feel the self injection.
Pro Patch and Pro Patch+
The Pro Patch and Pro Patch+ were designed specifically to administer anesthetic within surgical settings. The Pro Patch contains Lidocaine and the Pro Patch+ contains Lidocaine and antibiotic.
The Isis Biopolymer team envisions the opportunity to utilize both the Pro Patch and Pro Patch+ in an extensive array of minor and elective procedures to provide local anesthetic to the surgical area, and to provide potential post-operating delivery of extended local pain medical and antibiotics.
BIO YOUTH
The Bio Youth patch was developed as a transdermal delivery system for skin care treatment around the eye and nasolabial areas. Founded on the Isis Biopolymer proprietary selective barrier membrane technology, Bio Youth has the ability to penetrate the outermost layer of the skin (stratum corneum) to deliver dermatologics and other therapeutic agents. Conventional topical delivery may not penetrate the protective barrier of the skin, which can decrease effectiveness or require additional applications to obtain the desired result.
Most importantly, Bio Youth may provide a unique non-invasive alternative to anti-aging or invasive skin care treatments that currently require the use of hypodermic needles.
The Isis Biopolymer team envisions the use of the Bio Youth patch in a variety of minor and elective dermatological procedures as well as anti-aging regimens to provide an innovative and effective alternative that helps to restore health and beauty to the skin.
